Our mission is to connect people with the Qurʾān in a meaningful and transformative way. We offer a well‑structured, progressive curriculum in Arabic language and Qurʾānic studies—cultivating understanding, encouraging practice, and nurturing spiritual growth.
Open to both brothers and sisters, our program focuses on essential concepts that enrich daily life—avoiding overly esoteric topics. We cultivate long‑term growth through a progressive curriculum and practical application.
We're building an engaging presence. Tafsīr sessions are planned for live‑streaming, with highlights repurposed across Instagram, TikTok, and more. A unified website will serve all branches with dedicated pages.
Each sūrah will be advertised as an individual course to allow focused participation.
Weekend classes are being established where the need is clear. Each site will have its own principal and community‑tailored support.
Readers, workbooks and graded materials to build fluency, comprehension and the confidence to engage directly with Qurʾānic Arabic.
Core sentence structures and morphology: 10 essential scales of Thulāthī Mujarrad and Mazīd fīhi; practical parsing to support Tafsīr.
A dedicated 45‑minute period: word‑for‑word translation and thematic lessons that reinforce previously learned Arabic concepts.
Interactive activities: drills, writing, sentence construction, guided reading. Focus on Ṣarf scales and Naḥw compounds & sentence types with practical usage.
Flexible slot for further Arabic practice or inspirational lessons from the Sīrah and foundational teachings.
Extended 30‑minute break to encourage peer learning, discussions and reflection.
Word‑for‑word translation; reinforcing Arabic concepts through selected passages of the Qurʾān.
Every few months we invite guest scholars to present on specific subjects. These sessions may be included within the Tafsīr period or extend the class to 12:00 p.m.
Benefits include exposure to varied scholarly voices and providing a platform for younger specialists to share their expertise.
Open to brothers and sisters aged 16+. Beginners welcome; we stream classes so you learn at an appropriate pace.
No. We start with fundamentals, moving progressively into grammar and applied Tafsīr.
We encourage consistent attendance. Short courses may have separate registration.
Our teaching team consists primarily of young, qualified ʿUlamāʾ from diverse backgrounds—native Africans, Somalis, Indians and others. The vision is to connect each community to the Qurʾān through "someone from among them who speaks their tongue."
In Khayelitsha, Mawlānā Bilal Mkwizwana serves as imām and leads the Arabic‑through‑Xhosa initiative, inspired by Darun Naim textbooks (with permission to be obtained).
Our main objective is khidmah—fees come afterwards. The monthly fee is R350; a pay‑what‑you‑can option is available. Family discounts apply. We will not chase fees, and all student finances remain confidential.
Each branch manages its own bank account. A joint donors' account distributes funds across branches where needed.
